Adobe Photoshop Tools and tasks.

Photoshop:

Adobe Photoshop is an image editing software developed by a leading software company named Photoshop Corporation. It is the most popular software package for creating and modifying images for various purposes including designing of web pages, advertisements and book production. It allows you to modify photographs to give a cleaner and brighter look.

• One of the features in Photoshop is the ability to take a photo and use it to create graphics.
• It allows to create different kinds of graphics for websites and publications.
• It allows to retouch images to give them a cleaner, smoother and brighter finish.
• It allows to change the color of the image alter the size and scale of an image and also give special effects to an image and text.
• It allows to save graphics files in different file formats.

One of  the main components of the Photoshop is toolbox.
The toolbox contains many separate tools. You can simply click on the tool to select it for working on your image. If you leave your mouse cursor over the tool adobe Photoshop will indicate the name of the tool and the keyboard shortcut to access the tool. Some of the tools are stacked in groups of tools. A small black arrow in the bottom right corner of the tool indicates additional tools are stacked behind. Any of the tools in this stack click and hold down the mouse button on the uppermost tool for a second. Click on the tool in the toolbox. If there is a small triangle at the tool's right bottom corner, hold down the mouse button to view the hidden tools. Then click on the tool you want to select from the sub-menu.

Marquee Tool          :      Used for making a selection on their image
Move Tool               :      Used to select and move images
Magic Wand Tool    :      Another tool for making a selection
Lasso Tool               :      Used for making a free selection as you go
Slice Tool                :      Used to create slices in an image
Crop Tool                :      Used for cropping image
Retouching Tool     :      Used for correcting images
Brush Tool              :      Used for drawing freehand
Clone Stamp Tool   :      Used for selecting a source and copying it to another place
History Brush Tool :      Used for restoring a specified history state
Eraser Tool             :      Used for erasing the image or text (or part of it)
Gradient Tool         :      Used for creating a gradient effect on images and texts
Smudge Tool          :      Used to make a smudge on the image
Sponge Tool           :      Used to change the saturation of color in a selected area.
Path Selection Tool :     Used for selecting the active path
Text Tool                 :     Used to add or type text in page
Horizontal Type Tool :  Used for inserting text in an image
Pen Tool                     :  Used for creating vector shapes
Rectangle Tool         :   Used to draw a rectangle or a square
Notes Tool               :    Used for inserting notes in an image
Eyedropper Tool     :     Used for selecting a color
